Dental Emergencies

Dr. Coursey and Dr. Huynh are committed to helping patients manage sudden injuries and complications that require immediate treatment. Some emergencies are extremely painful, and a visit to our office can provide soothing relief. Some emergencies can threaten the health of the teeth, and receiving rapid dental treatment could mean the difference in saving a tooth or losing it. Emergency appointments are available during normal business hours based on availability.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Silver fillings are a thing of the past! Dr. Coursey does not use mercury or any metal in his fillings. Without the noticeable metallic appearance, composite or tooth colored fillings allows the tooth to appear in its natural state. The cavity is filled with a durable composite that blends with the rest of the tooth keeping your smiling looking as natural as possible. Most importantly, this eliminates the health and environmental risks of using mercury based dental materials.

Endodontic (Root Canal) Therapy

Root canals are valuable dental procedures used to treat and preserve teeth with badly infected roots. When a tooth becomes infected, patients can experience pain, swelling and even total tooth loss unless treated. Dr. Coursey will painlessly remove the infection, seal the treated area and then fit your tooth with a customized crown for the most natural looking result to restore normal tooth function.

Metal-free Crowns & Bridges

Like tooth colored fillings, Dr. Coursey does not use any metal in his crowns or permanent bridges. Porcelain dental crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that are used to replace or restore damaged or missing teeth. Crowns – also known as caps – are fixed over the surfaces of natural tooth structures or dental implants. Bridges are used to fill in the gaps left by missing teeth and are anchored in place by the natural teeth or crowns nearest to the empty space. Both crowns and bridges are non-removable and are permanently cemented in place. Patients who get crown or bridges to restore their smiles achieve both the function and appearance of natural, healthy teeth.

Bone Grafting

Following a tooth extraction, Dr. Coursey will use this procedure to restore the bone in your jaw to maintain its structure. This is especially important in order for dental implants to have optimal results as the bone needs to be as close to its original dimension as possible.

Partial Dentures

Dentures are removable tooth prosthetics designed to look and function like natural teeth. Most full and partial dentures are composed of replacement teeth attached to acrylic bases that take on the appearance of the gums or to dental implants allowing for a more secure fit. They are used to compensate for one or more missing teeth, and are available as partials and complete sets of teeth. Many dental patients elect dentures for tooth replacement if they are not candidates for dental implants or are otherwise looking for a tooth replacement option that is more affordable and budget-friendly.
